Coors Temporary Shoring

Scope of Work:

Granite excavation contracted IFS to design and construct two temporary shoring walls. The North wall was a standard shotcrete and soil nail wall. The north wall was approximately 1800Sf and had 68 38mm soil nails. The south was geo-fiber wall with a geotextile fabric and 2 layers of WWM. The south wall was approximately 2000sf and had over 100 soil nails. IFS performed the work in the winter and battled harsh temperatures and wind in order to meet the construction schedule. Both walls had a cut of 25’ the north wall was vertical and the south was near vertical.

Also due to the high water table IFS was contracted to drill 2 48” diameter wells for dewatering.
